Blogging is one of the worst contraptions ever made by man. Writing or typing itself is not the hardest part of blogging. However, finding an interesting topic for a blog is a whole different story. As a student blogger, I tend to focus on the grade. Another thing that I focus on is whether or not my teacher will like my blog topic.
There all kinds of blogs all over the internet. There blogs that are informative or professionally made. Other blogs include personal stories, "trolling", and many more. Even after writing several blogs, I'm still unsure of what kind of a blogs I should write. I think of interesting things and topics whenever I'm just relaxed and being spontaneous. However, when I start a new blog, all my confidence and great the concepts that my mind "ingeniously" contrived simply ceases to exist. It is like a bubble that simply disappears into thin air. When I click on the "new post" button in my blog page, anxiety takes over my body. It is not a pleasant feeling at all.
This school year is actually the first time I even attempted to write a blog. I've never actually given blogging a chance. The reason why is because I am an over thinker. I tend to stress over the little details and little mistakes. In a certain way, I am a little bit of a perfectionist. I don't like turning papers or posting blogs until I am fully satisfied with the results. Every week, the class has to post a new blog in our respective websites. This just drives me insane! In all honesty, I'm not satisfied with most of the blogs that are on my page. I feel like they are rushed, and not a "Jesse Magdadaro Work". Each time I post a new blog, I review it. I immediately regret it because I end up wanting to add more information, or to change some of the format.
Although thinking of topics for me is stressful, blogging can actually be relaxing when I get into the topic. I like to call this feeling as "God Mode". In "God Mode", I become invincible. Everything I think and write about is just perfect. The fates just decide to be kind and be on my side. I become the MVP for blogging. Instead of being stressed out, I become at ease and comfortable. In a way, blogging has helped me expressed my feelings and ideas about certain topics that I find interesting. It really is a helpful tool to practice my writing skills. So, to all the struggling bloggers in the world, I tell you to KEEP CALM AND BLOG ON!
