I have always loved motorcycles. I remember being a little boy, sitting in front of my uncle's motorcycle as he sped through the streets of my neighborhood. The wind rushed and blew at my face with power, and it felt amazing. The rush and feeling of freedom is indescribable when you are in a motorcycle. Ever since that day, I've always dreamed about owning my own motorcycle. I am the typical boy who loves sports, cars, playing, and etc. But out of all these things, I have this great desire to just go cruising in a motorcycle. I absolutely love motorcycles.
There are several kinds of motorcycles. There are the dirt, the choppers, the muscle, the monsters, and much more. Out of all these, I have always loved the sports bikes. Sports bikes tend to be the fastest kind of motorcycles. They have powerful engines that can flawlessly and effortlessly propel the bike into speeds exceeding 100 mph. My personal favorites are the 1999 Ducati 996 and the newest of the Ducati sports bikes, the Ducati Panigale 1199 R. These monsters can easily hit 150 mph. They are truly magnificent in power, style, and engineering. The Panigale is widely regarded as Ducati's best motorcycle, and because this bike won races, and destroyed competition in the track, the motorcycle is highly regarded.
As my fifteenth birthday came around, I was excited that my parents were sending me to a driver’s education class. This was finally my chance to earn a license, and later earn a motorcycle license. After so many hours of torturous and boring classroom and driving sessions, I finally was able to pass my driver's education test, and earn my license.
Now, the next big step was to convince my parents that I was responsible enough for a motorcycle. Unlike me, my parents do not share the same passion as I do for motorcycles. They see it as clumsy and dangerous toys. I cannot ignore the fact that motorcycles are dangerous. You need a certain set of skills to stay safe. However, my views about motorcycles are unwavering. I still believe that motorcycles are beautiful machines that are meant to be handled with care and respect. Sadly, I completely broke my parents trust when I crashed a couple months after I got my license. My dreams of owning one won't be possible until I get it myself.
Although I am saddened that I won't be able to drive a motorcycle soon, I am thankful that my parents were caring enough not to listen to my pleas. I was young and it takes maturity to drive a motorcycle. My accident has made me extremely careful when it comes to driving. However, I am undaunted and determined. My fiery passion for motorcycles will probably never be extinguished. One day, soon enough, I will be able to fulfill my dream. One day, soon enough, I will get into my dream motorcycle!
